Let’s play!
EMBRACE SPONTANEITY
Below are two different personas I work with and ways I believe I can help you to honor your creative. Maybe you identify with one or all of them, maybe none. If one stands out to you, this would be great to bring up in our first call!
Persona 1: You trigger easily and are perhaps quick to anger. You want to be less reactive to situations.
You find yourself more reactive than you'd like to be. Maybe you’ve recently blown up at someone and felt surprised and perhaps even ashamed. You are irritable and don’t know why. You don’t want people and your environment to impact you as much as it does but you can’t seem to prevent it.
Perhaps you grew up with a firm hand and harsh, judgemental voices. These voices demanded a certain way of existing and if you stepped outside of it, you were given a disappointed stare. Maybe you grew up in a chaotic home and had to become the structure for the family. You cleaned the house, made dinner for others, “grew up too fast” — you were the parentified child.
How we work together - Play(and don't’ take it personally)
We can look into your environment and family history to gain a better understanding of what is activating you. Your environment matters.
We’ll also look into what beliefs are perhaps governing your mind and burdening your heart. Are these beliefs yours? Where did they com from?
We can use various tools to bring about greater mental and emotional adaptability. We can play with frameworks that encourage flexible thinking such as multiplicity, paradox, and double-edged swords.
Attune with your body
Bring awareness to your body, listen for its wisdom, move without judgement, connect mind and body.
Honor your creative
Honor your creative, invite your critic to rest, follow the breadcrumbs back to what you loved doing as a child, take yourself on artist dates, start creating now.
